GORDO IL – A Neighborhood Watch group is helping
residents in Cerro Gordo to take charge after
23 break-ins occurred in the last two years. Over 50 people showed up to the meeting,
and are participating to make the streets safer.
Cerro Gordo High School basketball coach Scott
Bacon is in charge of the group. Bacon held the first meeting in August at the
school's gym. He said residents can help by turning a light on in front of their
homes so yards can be seen at night.
The next Neighborhood
Watch Meeting will take place Monday at 5PM at the Cerro
Gordo high school gym.
