DECATUR IL – New cutting edge technology will be at Richland Community College. The ribbon was cut on Wednesday afternoon, on the Illinois Industrial Carbon Capture and Storage Project National Sequestration Education Center.
The center was created in partnership with ADM, because the company said carbon capture and storage holds great promise for reducing atmospheric damage.
Director of Public Information, Lisa Gregory told WAND news that "our students here will have the opportunity to have hands on experience and begin a career that will actually allow you to travel the globe."
Richland leaders hope the new center will also be used for education training and outreach events.
