Champaign IL – The Champaign – Urbana Mass Transit District is considering an expansion plan. The district's board is expecting to choose a consultant in the coming weeks to look at a potential expansion of the Illinois Terminal downtown.

An increase in bus service over the past decade has created congestion problems and a need for more space at the 12 year old terminal.
