Mattoon Man Charged for Killing Robert Montague - Wandtv.com, NewsCenter17, StormCenter17, Central Illinois News-

Mattoon IL – A Mattoon man has been charged with killing another man during a motel robbery. 25 year old, Joshua Mefford was originally arrested for the assault and robbery of, 58 year old, Robert Montague at the US Grant Motel.

A coroner later determined Montague was killed during the robbery. Today in court Mefford did not enter a plea to the murder charges. He has been assigned a public defender.
