Lincoln Population Drop

Lincoln IL – The city of Lincoln's population faces adjusting the number of council seats to match the shrinking population.

The council will vote later in October on a plan to reduce the council from 10 aldermen representing five wards to eight aldermen from four wards.

That reduction will reflect a population drop in Lincoln below 15 thousand according to the 2010 Census Count.
