Decatur IL – Stewart Brothers of Decatur vvoluntarily recalled about 90 pounds of ground beef products that could be contaminated with bacteria.
Stewart Brothers of Decatur issued its recall because the products were made from beef trim potentially contaminated with E.coli that was subject to another recall announced by the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service on September 28.
The products were produced September 12 and distributed to local restaurants.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture said no one has reported an illness associated with this meat. Anyone concerned with contracting a food-borne illness should call a doctor.
