Decatur IL – National Fire Safety
week kicks off with this year's theme "Have Two Ways Out." The Decatur fire department expects over one thousand
elementary and preschool students, teachers, and parents to visit Fire Station
One.
The fire department will
be conducting safety programs, with the fire safety house experience, station
tours, gear demonstration, and more.
In Urban firefighters will
be at the Lincoln Square Mall all week, teaching people how to protect
themselves from a fire. During the day Urbana
school groups will be doing several different activities. A family night will
be offered on Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7PM.
