Ford County – The death of a Hoopeston man found dead at the Ford County jail in May has been ruled an accident.

The Ford County coroner said, 30 year old, Richard J. Gonzales died from natural causes in late May. A contributing factor was a fracture to his right shoulder blade he sustained during a fall.

The fracture put additional stress on his heart, and then failed. A coroner's inquest will not be held.
