CHAMPAIGN - In Central Illinois, three local high schools are teaming up to alleviate childhood hunger.
As a part of the Eastern Illinois Foodbank's new School Pantry Program, Charleston High School, Mattoon High School and Centennial High School have each added a food pantry.
Students identified as "food insecure" will be able to shop in the pantry once per month. Eligible students range in numbers from 25-60, based on school. The number of items granted depends on the student's family size.
