Springfield Water Levels Shrink

Springfield IL – Lake levels in Springfield are at the lowest they have been all year, and the city could face tougher restrictions.

CWLP Officials are trying to avoid any steeper restrictions. The company is asking the city council for permission to spend 140 thousand to replace parts of the channel dam.

The repairs would help the flow of water from the Sangamon River. Aldermen are expected to vote on the contract next week.
