URBANA, IL-- The Urbana City Council has proposed a revision to the city's liquor code.

This revision would give Mayor Laurel Prussing the authority to impose restrictions on businesses' liquor licenses. The police currently work with liquor license holders on a security plan, after there is a serious problem.

Mayor Prussing hopes this revision can help prevent problems from happening in the first place.
