SPRINGFIELD - Illinois officials are planning a series of job fairs beginning next week to help veterans find work.
The Department of Employment Security says the Veteran Job Fair of 2012 is part of Governor Pat Quinn's plan to help military veterans compete for newly created private-sector jobs.
Events are planned for Carterville, Naperville, Oak Forest, Bartonville, Belleville, Effingham, Champaign, Chicago and Mount Vernon.
Those attending should bring resumes and be ready for brief interviews with employers who attend.
