Decatur IL – Decatur City Council might vote tonight to drill four additional wells providing more water for Lake Decatur.
The council could approve spending for one and a half million dollars to build the wells. The wells could produce as much as two million gallons of water per day.
Two wells would pump water directly into Lake Decatur while the other two would pump water into a former gravel pit just west of the dam.
The council will also vote whether or not to join in on opposition to the Clinton landfill.
