DECATUR -- Some Medicare patients are losing money by choosing the wrong prescription plan.
But Dale's Southlake Pharmacy is helping seniors save money by offering free consultation services for choosing the right plan.
"They don't have to wait for their computer-savvy grandson to come over and do it," said pharmacist Andrea Liming.
Liming told WAND anyone eligible for Medicare can make appointments with patient advocates.
Open enrollment for Medicare Part D plans started Monday. Liming said it's a good time for patients to review their plans.
In Macon County alone, Liming said there are 32 different plans to choose from.
Some Medicare patients at Dale's Southlake have saved up to $2,800 annually by switching plans.
