COUNTY, IL-- For the first time in Illinois an Amtrak
passenger train hit 110 miles per hour Friday morning.
The train reached that
high speed between Dwight and Pontiac during a test run. The high speed rail
line will run between Saint Louis and Chicago.
Governor Quinn, U.S.
Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and other leaders were among those who were
aboard the train for the historic ride.
It is the last night of
regular season for football. We have some great games left to cover before the
play offs begin.
