CHAMPAIGN - A group that aims to house the homeless says they currently have no homes available.
C-U at Home just kicked off their annual homeless survey, which allows them to help locate and then house those who are most vulnerable.
Executive Director Melany Jackson says they successfully recruited close to 100 volunteers to help throughout the week, but now they're facing a big concern.
"We very much are hoping there will be property owners [to] step up," says Jackson, "and allow us to use their housing to get some of the most vulnerable off of the streets."
All housing leases are signed by C-U at Home. Occupants then sign a sub-lease to the organization.
