Police and Millikin Security Searching for three suspects


Decatur IL – Police and Millikin security officers are looking for three suspects wanted in an armed robbery, and attempted armed robbery that happened within 15 minutes of each other.


Police said the armed robbery happened in the one thousand block of West Main Street around 1:30 Friday morning. A 21 year old, was walking home from a party when a black male ran at him with a box cutter.  The victim gave the man his wallet and book bag.


The attempted armed robbery happened 15 minutes earlier, at the intersection of West Main Street and Oakland Avenue. Police say two black men approached the 20 year old victim asking what was in the book bag. One of the suspects said he had a gun, but the victim never saw it.


Decatur police say one suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20's, about five feet 11 to six feet tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, with a black bandanna with white designs on his face. The second suspect has the same description, but was not wearing a bandanna. The third suspect is described to be in his late teens to early 20's about six feet 1 inches. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, white colored mask covering the entire face.
