People still confused about electric aggregation

Decatur IL – Decatur's environmental planner explains several people are still confused on electric aggregation.

Voters passed the aggregation referendum last week, this means towns will go out and buy electricity for the community in bulk. Buying electricity in bulk should result in lower power bills for your home or small business. However, you can opt out of electric aggregation.

For more information, contact the city's environmental planner Vasudha Pinnamaraju at 424-2778 or email her at She will be happy to answer questions, as she wants everyone to understand what is going on in our city.
