Teen behind bars after robbing a woman

Springfield IL – A teenager is behind bars, after police say he pointed a gun at a baby when robbing a woman.

Police say 19 year old Malcom Whitney broke into a woman's car Tuesday afternoon at the Seven Brother Grocery Store. He told the woman to drive, and that he needed money.

The woman gave Whitney five dollars, and drove him to Oak Street. He is now behind bars for vehicular invasion, armed robbery, and unlawful use of a weapon.
