
Macon County – A deal with Peoria County could mean Macon County juvenile criminals traveling further from home.
A recent deal between Macon and Sangamon Counties ended, because the Sangamon County jail can no longer afford to house juvenile offenders from outside that county.
Macon County Justice Committee approved a resolution to send juveniles to Peoria County. The deal has to be approved by both County Boards before it moves forward.
