Elementary school students across the state are spreading holiday cheer to injured service members overseas.
It's part of Governor Pat Quinn's Operation Homefront. Students are making holiday cards for troops.
Each year, before the general assembly comes together, Governor Quinn personally finances his own trip to Germany and hand-delivers the cards.
If you want to get your students involved, send their cards to the governor's office in Chicago.
Cards must be received no later than Friday, December 7, 2012.
