Interstate 55 in Springfield was backed up for most of Sunday evening.

Authorities said, a semi truck overturned near the Stevenson Drive ramp.

Police said, a 16-year-old man lost control, hit the semi and it overturned.

The 54-year-old driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
