Computers donated to help veterans land jobs

SPRINGFILED - In a move designed to help military veterans find jobs, Illinois state officials are announcing a donation of 100 refurbished computers to veterans' organizations.

The computers will help provide veterans with online access to job training and state and federal sources that can help them.

Illinois state officials will donate extra computers from the federal government to help military veterans find jobs.

Central Management Services oversees the Illinois State Agency for Surplus Property. It distributes state surplus property and coordinates distribution of extra materials from the U.S. General Services Administration.

GSA and the National Association of State Agencies for Surplus Property helped make the computers available for the Illinois organizations.
