Gladinet Cloud Enterprise makes it easy for service providers and resellers to provide a branded, complete online storage and access solution to customers using their own infrastructure.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (PRWEB) December 13, 2012
With the latest version of Gladinet Cloud Enterprise, the company has added support for multi-tenancy and self-service rebranding to their online storage access solution. This is valuable for both service providers and resellers who want to deploy the access infrastructure themselves and present a complete solution to their customers with their own branding.
Gladinet Cloud Enterprise provides an installable, private online storage solution with all the public cloud features seen on http://www.gladinet.com/feature.html. The solution provides a simple way to deploy an online storage access solution, while retaining full control of the data storage and related access infrastructure.
Gladinet’s President, Jerry Huang, explained, “We’re very pleased with the interest we are seeing from our service provider and reseller partners. Typically, they will need to provide our solution to multiple customers. With the new version of Gladinet Cloud Enterprise, the process is much easier for them. First they will purchase the product with a block of licenses. Once they’ve installed the product in their data center, they can create sub-accounts for each customer. Each of these sub-accounts can be integrated with separate Active Directory domains and management can be delegated to the customer admin.”
The service provider edition of Gladinet Cloud Enterprise also includes self-service branding which can be a critical consideration for some Gladinet partners. This feature allows the specification of URLs for branding resources which will be used to reskin user facing components.
Gladinet Cloud Enterprise continues to be useful as an access solution for enterprises that have privately deployed online cloud storage using technology like Nirvanix, Openstack or EMC Atmos. It allows them to provide the access and mobility features of popular, public, online storage services using their own infrastructure. In other words, they can maintain control of the entire cloud solution stack, from storage to access infrastructure to client devices. And now they can create sub-tenants with for different groups and divisions within their organization and easily change the product’s branding.
Huang summarized, “With this product, it becomes trivial for any reseller to provide a dropbox-like service to their customers with their own branding based on infrastructure that they control. We think that’s a no-brainer and so far our partners seem to agree.”
