Springfield Church Holds Prayer Vigil for CT Tragedy
SPRINGFIELD -- People across the country are mourning the lives lost in the school shooting in Connecticut, 20 kindergarten students were killed.
In Springfield, a prayer vigil was held at the iWorship center on the north end of town. Many people, of several different faiths, gathered to show support and love for those who are still very much in pain tonight.
Pastor Eric Hansen says, as a father he's shocked, but he believes god has the power to heal all wounds.
"Sometimes we can get accustomed to bad things happening, and in passing, just say 'well I'll pray for you, it's the least that we can do', but as a Christian, if you really believe what the bible says, then prayer is the most that we can do. That's why we have gathered tonight," said Hansen.
