Family and friends are remembering a young man whose life was taken away too soon.
Jarvas Thomas, 21, was shot to death at Galloway Park in Decatur.
Saturday a farewell service was held for Thomas at the House of Miracles in Decatur.
His cousin took time to remember the good times he spent with Thomas. Nigel Adams also told WAND that he is not angry with the teens that killed his cousin.
"My heart goes out to the people that did it. We're not mad you know. The anger is gone. We're here celebrating. It's time to celebrate because he's going home," Adams said.
Two teens were arrested in connection to the shooting.
Thomas' burial will take place at a later time.
