Remembering Sandy Hook Victims with a Vigil

More than a week has passed since the deadly Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, CT.

People took time to remember the victims Saturday in Decatur.

A memorial service was held at the Fairview Park at 3 p.m.

A teacher from Mt. Zion that was at the service talked about how she feels if armed guards were at every school. This comes after the CEO of the NRA said, in a press conference Friday, armed guards is what should be implemented in schools across America.

"I'm actually on the fence about that. I can see the ups and downs about both sides of it. I just, I really don't know what affect it would have at this point," Elisa Lewis said.

Influential people from the community spoke and read poems at the event.

Pink and white balloons with each victim's name on them were released, as well.
