CHAMPAIGN- An organization that aids the homeless is in-need of volunteers and donations for an upcoming event.
C-U at Home's annual One Winter Night event is scheduled for Friday, February 1 into Saturday, February 2. During the public awareness campaign, participants sleep in boxes outdoors. Two locations have been selected this year- on Neil Street in downtown Champaign and the U of I quad.
Executive Director Melany Jackson is seeking donations and a minimum of 100 volunteers. Businesses are also encouraged to sponsor the event.
