Police Seek Help in Solving Robbery, Murder


CHAMPAIGN- Champaign Police are seeking information from the public regarding a shooting last month.

Police say on December 17, two men were shot at a home in the 200 block of Roper Street. One victim, 33-year-old Bobby White, died as a result of those injuries.

The News-Gazette reports that police now need help nailing down leads. A witness told police that two men entered the home, dressed in black hooded sweat shirts and scarves covering their faces. They demanded cash.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Champaign Police at 351-4545 or Champaign County Crimestoppers at 373-8477. Anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest will be rewarded. All information is confidential.
