GED Test Cost Going Up

Decatur IL – If you are planning on taking the test to get your GED now may be the time to do it.

 

Richland Community College Says the cost of GED testing will go up later this year, from the current 50 dollars to 125 dollars. Also changing, you will have to take the test online.

 

Richland will be offering GED Class Orientations during the month of January to still qualify for the lower price. The orientation should take about 2.5 hours. New and returning students must attend the orientation.         

 

-GED and workplace skills, 4 to 6 p.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday at Eisenhower High School (former Stephen Decatur Middle School off East Mound Road). Classes meet Tuesday through Thursday from Jan. 8 through May 15.


-GED class registration, 10 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Education and Training Center, Hickory Point Mall southeast entrance. Registration will take approximately two hours. Call 875-0061.


-GED preparation, 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, Macon-Piatt Adult Education Center, 432 N. Water St. Call 422-6113.
