"Drive to Survive" a Success


Springfield – Results are in from the Springfield Police crack down and year end safety push called "Drive to Survive."


In hopes of lowering the number of motor vehicle deaths due to not wearing a seatbelt or driving drunk. Springfield police made 21 DUI arrests during "Drive Sober or get Pulled Over, and Click it or Ticket."


Sergeant Charles Kean says, the majority of arrests were made after midnight. Also, four seat belt citations were written. These statistics are from the effort that ran December 17th through January 1st.
