Counselors on Hand for Student Whose Mother Died - Wandtv.com, NewsCenter17, StormCenter17, Central Illinois News-

Champaign – When kids head back to South-Side Elementary School in Champaign counselors will be there to support a fourth grader whose mother died on New Year's Eve.

Police say, a murder suicide involving 34 year old Emily Davis was the mother of a student at the school. The principal says Davis was well liked by the staff. The oldest of children graduated from the elementary school.

Davis funeral was Friday morning at Sunset funeral home in Champaign.
