Charleston – Firefighters are investigating a morning fire near the Eastern Illinois campus.

Firefighters were called to an apartment building in the two thousand block of South 9th Street, just before six this morning. No one was hurt, and firefighters are still on scene investigating.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.
