
CHAMPAIGN - Police say they are investigating four separate cases of gun violence, all reported on January 6.
Three of the reports came from Holly Hill Drive. Around 4:30 a.m., a resident reported that a round of gunshots had been fired through a child's bedroom wall. The 10-year-old was in another room at the time.
Officers say one male was shot in the 1500 block of Holly Hill later, shortly before 8 p.m. The victim doesn't face serious injuries. The third Holly Hill report came from that same block, around 11 p.m.
At 2 p.m. officers responded to a shooting report in the 200 block of Bellefontaine. No injuries were reported.
Police have no suspects at this time. No word on a connection between the crimes.
