Experts Say Flu Outbreak Yet to Peak in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN- With the flu spreading across the nation, officials with the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District say the worst may be yet to come.

Public Health Administrator Julie Pryde says the area hasn't yet hit its peak. Numbers are expected to grow by the end of the month.

Pryde says several local clinics are running low on the vaccine, but the Public Health District expects their supply to last through the season.

Vaccinations are offered at the W. Kenyon St. location weekdays from 9:00 to noon and 1:30-4:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.

Pryde advises everyone to receive their flu shot.
