Five people are out of their home Saturday after an afternoon fire.

Champaign fire fighters tried to save a home off the 400 block of East Columbia Avenue.

The west side of the house was damaged the most.

Fire fighters made a hole in the roof to save some of their personal items.

No one was injured.
