Heavy storm damage in Ashmore

Ashmore – High winds damaged several buildings over night in Ashmore.

One of the most heavily damaged buildings was the historic Ashmore Estates.

A representative from Ameren told WAND that 770 customers are currently without power in Ashmore and Westfield. A total of 49 utility poles were knocked down in Tuesday night's storm.

Due to outages, Ashmore Elementary School has been closed for the day.
