Springfield – The Illinois State Auditor General, William G. Holland was arrested in Springfield late Wednesday night, for and alleged DUI.
According to documents filed with the Sangamon County Circuit Clerk's Officer, Holland was heading West on Stanford Avenue near Sixth Street, when he was pulled over by an Illinois State Trooper.
He was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, and was also cited for improper land usage. Holland's first court appearance is set for March 14th. Holland has served as State Auditor since 1992.
