Champaign – The jury selection began Monday for the battery case of a Champaign man.
Last week a twist in a case caused the judge to declare a mistrial. 23 year old Ardis Fenn is on trial, accused of shooting 29 year old Curtis Mosley last June.
Mosely was found dead in his Urbana apartment last Monday night, just a day before he was set to testify against Fenn, in the battery case. Fenn failed to show up in court the next morning, so a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
Last Wednesday, Fenn turned himself into police. Thursday the judge in the battery case declared a mistrial, because jurors said they had heard too much about developments.
