Niantic – A crash in rural Macon County sends three people to a Springfield Hospital.

The Macon County Sheriffs Office says, it happened at 11:28 this morning on the Niantic-Illioplis blacktop, just West of Niantic. Deputies learned that three juveniles were involved in a one car accident. All three were transported by ambulance to St. Johns hospital in Springfield.

Deputies had the blacktop closed for about a mile in each direction for several hours. The accident remains under investigation.
