Organizers held a 'Play Games Past' program at the Rock Springs Conservation Area in Decatur Saturday. It was an event to get kids away from high tech games and try to bring back old fashioned games.
They brought out games from the 1800's to 1900's.
Jeff Tish, the Program Services Manager said, "we are really trying to stress the reality that there are a lot of games and activities that do not require real expensive kinds of items and things that you can actually make or get together with a mom or dad and make some of these things themselves."
Tish added, when you get kids Christmas gifts they get tired of them quickly, so why not try simple items that don't require much money.
