Electric mobility devices could be coming to Decatur Parks
Decatur – Changes could be coming to Decatur Parks.
The board is considering rules to govern how electric mobility devices can be used in the parks and bike trails. Rules would apply to motorized scoters and segways. The board wants to make sure that people with disabilities can continue to use the trails.
New guidelines would have size, weight, and speed limitations. The exact specifications of the new ordinance are still being evaluated by the park district staff.
