UI campus relatively calm during Unofficial St. Pat's

CHAMPAIGN -- Unofficial St. Patrick's Day at the University of Illinois was relatively calm on Friday.

It's been a yearly tradition on campus since the 90s.

Green St. is typically lined with partiers.  That's why an extra 115 officers are patrolling campus.

"The bar scene is crazy, but I'd say the apartment party scene is crazier," said student Jeremy Leval.

Some students were passing out free water, trying to make sure everyone stayed hydrated.
