Springfield – State police seize 10
pounds of cannabis, stolen guns, and cannabis plants after a routine traffic
stop.
24 year old Jeffery Moss, of Springfield was stopped
by a District 9 Trooper, for disobeying a stop sign on Laurel and State Street, just
before 1 am on February 27th. The trooper called on a K-9 officer to assist.
The K-9 alerted officers there could be drugs in the vehicle, a full
vehicle search was conducted.
Moss's home was searched for further
investigation. Officers found 8 cannabis plants, 10 pounds of cannabis, and a
stolen Glock pistol between the home and vehicle. Moss was arrested and faces
possession of a stolen firearm, manufacture and delivery of cannabis, and
production of cannabis plants.
