Not guilty plea entered for shooting on Decatur's south side
Decatur – A man charged with a shooting on Decatur's south side pleads not guilty in court today.
23 year old, Kameron Farrington is charged with aggravated battery and weapon possession by a felon among other charges.
Police say 21 year old, Rafael Kennedy, Junior was shot in the five hundred block of South Oakland Avenue, in the chest. He later showed up at a hospital to be treated, and was later released.
According to a police sworn statement Rafael was contacted by a man, who was getting ready to fight Farrington. Both men drove to 549 South Oakland Avenue, where they observed several men coming toward them from Sunset Avenue. Kameron Farrington got down on one knee and started firing a gun in Rafael's direction.
Farrington is being held on a 60 thousand dollar bond.
