Windmill tower falls off carrier on Route 51

Clinton – A heavy load dropped on Route 51 tied up traffic this afternoon.

Just north of Clinton on Route 51, part of a windmill tower fell off its carrier. Traffic is down to one lane on 51.

The State Department of Transportation is investigating how this happened.
