Financial advisor accused of deceiving local seniors
Springfield – A Springfield financial advisor is being sued by the State Attorney General, accused of deceiving local seniors.
The Attorney General's lawsuit claims Richard Lee Van Dyke Junior and his firm, "Dick Van Dyke Financial Limited", fraudulently marketed and sold insurance investments to seniors. The suit says Van Dyke gains the trust of seniors then steers them into buying annuities on which he earns high commissions.
The Attorney General wants to bar Van Dyke from using deceptive marketing, and pay back commissions earned on those sales.
