Sangamon County Sheriff's are looking into another police impersonator
incident.
On Friday, around 11:50pm an 18 year old victim told Sheriff's she
spotted a "larger" white, car while she was driving on South Farmingdale Road,
near the intersection of Old Route 36. When she turned east on Route 36 she
noticed the car behind her.
The car followed close behind as she headed south on Curran road, she
saw a red and blue flashing light on top of the vehicle.
The victim was aware of the recent impersonators, and turned on her
hazard lights and continued driving south. The vehicle shut off the lights and turned
east on Mansion Road.
The victim lost sight of the vehicle, and could not describe the driver.
Police continue to investigate all police impersonator incidents. Please
