More doctors could administer flu shots

Springfield – A proposal pending in the Illinois Senate has doctors upset.

The bill would allow dentists to administer flu shots and other vaccinations. It is created to make vaccinations more accessible, especially in rural areas.

The Illinois State Medical Society says the idea will take patients out of the office, and not be entered in medical records.
