Attorney General warns of tax refund anticipation loans
Springfield – A new warning as tax season moves closer.
The Illinois Attorney General's Office is asking you to be on the look out for tax refund anticipation products. In Illinois it is against the law for tax prepares to give refund anticipation loans as an option when filing taxes.
Attorney General Madigan warns these illegal loans have large fees, and will not make your refund come faster.
